About Me
Hi there! I'm McKenzie, and I'm thrilled to have you here. This blog is a labor of love and a personal endeavor for me. As I navigate through life, witnessing the challenges my loved ones face, I've been inspired to create a space where I can share my experiences, insights, and the lessons I've learned along the way.

Why AgeWell?
AgeWell is a personal health blog focused on women’s health, hormonal balance, and aging with intention.

This space began after my family faced major health challenges—my grandmother’s dementia diagnosis and my mother’s osteoporosis—which sparked my interest in preventative care and long-term well-being. Since then, my journey has become deeply personal. My grandmother has passed away, and in 2026 I was diagnosed with PCOS after losing my period for nearly six months. A vaginal ultrasound revealed cysts on both ovaries, despite normal hormone levels, highlighting how complex and often misunderstood menstrual health can be.

Today, AgeWell documents my ongoing journey with PCOS and cycle regulation. I share the meals I’m eating, lifestyle changes I’m making, and research I’m learning from as I work to regain my period and support overall hormone health. This blog reflects a real, evolving process—one rooted in listening to my body and advocating for my health.

I am not a medical professional, but this blog is grounded in lived experience, curiosity, and thoughtful exploration. AgeWell is for women and people with uteruses navigating PCOS, irregular periods, menopause, or other hormonal transitions who want to feel more informed, supported, and connected.

Here, you’ll find content centered on menstrual health, nutrition, movement, mindset, and aging well—because caring for your health is not a phase, it’s a lifelong practice.
